The Cochlear TV Streamer is manufactured by GN ReSound, the Cochlear version is is a rebadged GN ReSound Unite TV Streamer 2, other than the printed name there is no difference. Encouraged by Cochlear instead of supplying the Cochlear version Connevans is now supplying the lower priced GN ReSound Unite TV Streamer 2 along with a copy of the Cochlear instuctions - the GN ReSound model also has the advantage of a 2 year warranty in addition to the lower price.
The TV Streamer will send the sound from your TV directly to your Baha 4, Baha 5, Baha 6, Nucleus 6 , Nucleus 7, Nucleus 8 or Kanso sound processor.
With the TV Streamer you don’t have to choose between your favourite TV show and taking part in a conversation. You get a balanced experience, with sound from the TV streamed directly to your sound processor while you’re still switched on to what’s going on around you.
Watch TV and still take part in the conversation
The TV streamer sends you strong and clear sounds from the
TV, but it doesn’t overpower or cut sounds from the microphone on
your sound processor. You can also connect the TV Streamer to other
electronic devices through a range of plug options.
Don’t disturb others while watching your favourite
show
Having the TV volume turned up high may help you hear it, but
it can often be a source of frustration for those around you. Just
like ordinary wireless headphones, the TV Streamer will let you
enjoy your favourite shows without your family having to listen as
well!
Easy connection, and automatic reconnection
The robust wireless connection is not only easy to set-up, it
automatically reconnects if you, for example, leave the room to get
a snack. If you re-enter the TV streamer’s seven metre range within
five minutes, it will start streaming again without you needing to
do anything.

Note: Before you can use any of the Cochlear wireless accessories, they need to be paired to your Baha 4, 5 & 6 or Kanso & Nucleus 6, 7 or 8 or Osia 2 sound processor/s. This is a simple process and can be done by the user.
You can pair up to three Cochlear streaming devices with your Cochlear sound processor (of an combination - ie. 3 Mini Microphones or 1 Mini Microphone, 1 Remote Control and 1 Phone Clip). Select a separate channel for each device paired with the sound processor.
TV Streamer vs Mini Mic
It is possible to connect the Cochlear Mini Mic to the TV and
use this as a streamer instead of puchasing the dedicated TV
Streamer. This works well but one of the main advantages of using
the TV streamer is that it can be left in one place, connected to
the TV, so it’s always ready to go and saves hassle. It will
also reconnect automatically if you leave the room and return
within 5 minutes.
As well as this, the TV streamer pairs automatically once
it's set up the first time and (probably the most important thing)
is that it transmits a stereo signal whereas the Mini Mic sends
only a mono signal. The Mini Mic can be used if the person doesn't
mind disconnecting and reconnecting it with their TV.

This is brilliant. My father wears 2 cochlear baha 5 power sound processors but still needs the TV so loud that the neighbour in the flat above complained. This TV streamer means that the sound is clearer though my dads hearing aids for him but the volume in the room is very low (it could be zero) I did struggle to set it up a bit as I'm not technical but when I phoned Connevans for help Liz was so helpful and I'm now thrilled with the purchase.
