Advanced Bionics Listening Check for Naida CI
A hand diagnostic tool, the AB Listening Check can easily verify that a child's equipment is functioning properly - ideal for parents and teachers. It allows an unaided listener to listen to the exact microphone configurations the recipient is using.
Particularly good when a child is too young to provide feedback themselves. In addition to checking whether the sound processor microphone is working, the Listening Check can also determine whether a sound processor is receiving proper input from a Roger 17, an FM receiver (with the iConnect Adaptor or ComPilot) or audio devices such as an MP3 player (with the Direct Connect Earhook and Cable).
If the recipient owns an AB myPilot, the unaided listener can do a listening check of all audio sources independently by selecting them individually on the AB myPilot menu. AB myPilot available separately - see Associated Items. Without the AB myPilot Remote Control, sound sources are listened to on a program-by-program configuration.
Portable and easy to use, the Listening Check may be beneficial wherever a child goes—to daycare, to school, on holiday, or even to summer camp. And it’s powered by the Naida CI processor, so there’s no need to find an electrical outlet.
The Naida CI Listening Check attaches directly to the Naida CI processor quickly and easily. Firstly, remove the battery pack from the Naida CI processor and slide on the Listening Check, then slide the battery pack onto the bottom of the Listening Check - effectively 'sandwiching' the Listening Check between the processor and the battery. Suitable for use with all types of Naida CI battery (PowerCels, Zn-Air Battery Pak, AAA/03 PowerPak or Off-the-Ear Power Options).
The Naida CI Listening Check comes with a built-in protective case which protects the attachments when not in use.
A set of earbuds is sold separately - note, any standard 3.5mm headphones can be used, but we recommend using the Advanced Bionics earbuds.
Manfr. pt no: CI-5823
The Listening Check can also be used to verify sound input while using a compatible auxiliary earhook, for example the T-Mic, iConnect, or Direct Connect. This is a feature that provides peace of mind to parents, educators and caregivers, especially in younger children who may benefit from the use of one of these auxiliary options.
